About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Daycare Center

Philosophy

Miles of Smiles is run by a mother-daughter duo in our lovely home in the heart of Leslieville. We are a small nannying circle who provide care for up to 5 children. We welcome children ages 8 months-4.5 years.

We strive to create a space which children feel they are at a home away from home. We care deeply for the happiness and safety of our children at Miles of Smiles, and love helping children get a great head start. We find it very important that parents feel confident leaving their children in our care.

Miles of Smiles is special because while we provide individual care for each child, they also get to learn and grow with other children their age. We dedicate our time and efforts to creating a nurturing and safe environment for children to have fun, learn, grow, and experience their development.

Health & Safety

We require at least one meet & greet with each family and their child/children prior to further discussion of enrollment. We both have current CPR/First Aid Training, Food safety & sanitation, WHO courses regarding COVID-19, and current police background checks.

COVID-19 Policy

During COVID-19 and the uncertainties it has come with, we have taken the time to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of each child, family and ourselves. We are closely following the safety guidelines that the City of Toronto has given for child care settings (https://www.toronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/9571-COVID-19-Guidance-for-Child-Care-Settings.pdf). Each family is expected to maintain a strict bubble. Anytime a families bubble is broken, we ask that we are aware; so we can deal with each situation accordingly. The play area, along with any objects in use, will be sanitized regularly. Hands will be sanitized upon arrival, and throughout the day. Regular screening questions will be asked to each family on a regular basis. Use of personal protective equipment will be used in all public spaces. We are an at home nannying circle, with a tight-knit group of families. Open communication is essential to providing a safe space for everyone involved.
